Every single exhibition area is immersed in the special mood typical of the season. Numerous carefully orchestrated design details create a unique atmosphere and hold new surprises.
Captured the mood of the seasons
Meter-high flowers in the green grass of spring open up a whole new perspective, fine sand in the summer-area brings back memories of the beach, noble autumn presents itself golden hues, and the winter is wrapped in a cool mood and muted colors.
Be curious to try out yourself
It wouldn't be an interactive exhibition without first-hand experiences. Look and try is the motto. In each area, there are numerous information boards for reading and learning, and numerous flaps and doors reveal their secrets to the curious.
Anyone can try their hand at kickstarting photosynthesis in the spring, learn about cooling at the juice bar in the summer, generate a lot of wind in the fall, and get cold feet in the winter. There is so much more to discover and explore. But we're not going to give the game away here...

jahreszeitHAMBURG resolves around Hamburg nature as the seasons change - and so the exhibition begins and ends with this great, green city. The visitors start their tour on a huge areal image of the Hanseatic city that almost covers the entire floor of the room
After a tour through the seasons, we close with a visionary look into the future: three very different young people talk about their personal lives in Hamburg in 2100...
